Habitat for Humanity Singapore is part of the global Habitat for Humanity network founded in 1976, whose mission is to ensure that everyone has a decent place to live.
Since 2004, Habitat Singapore engages volunteers to build decent, affordable homes and essential infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region. Locally, we conduct home rehabilitation works for vulnerables such as the elderly, low mobility or low-income individuals to ensure that living environments foster safety, dignity and wellbeing.

Opening the door for families around the world:
Building a Home for Mrs. Santa's familly
Mrs. Santa is a dedicated mother of four who faces the daily challenges of raising her family on an irregular household income. The family's finances are a careful balancing act, prioritizing education, basic necessities, and the needs of their youngest child.
During the rainy season, leaks and water seepage would leave the house damp, creating uncomfortable and unhealthy living conditions. Mrs. Santa worried especially about the well-being of her children, particularly her toddler, who was more vulnerable to illness.
Despite these hardships, Mrs. Santa's dedication to her family's well-being never wavered. She managed the household with unwavering strength, nurturing her children and holding onto the hope of a brighter future.
With the support of Habitat for Humanity Singapore, Mrs. Santa's family moved into a safe and comfortable home in 2024. The improved living conditions have brought greater security, comfort, and peace of mind, allowing the family to look ahead with renewed hope.
Opening the door in Singapore:
Giving Mdm Aidah’s a fresh start and safer home
For years, Mdm Aidah fought battles that no family should have to face. An abusive marriage, mounting financial hardship, depression and chronic health conditions slowly took their toll. Her two-room rental flat became overwhelmed with clutter, dust and poor sanitation, worsening her asthma and making it unsafe for her family.
When Habitat for Humanity Singapore met Mdm Aidah, we saw more than an untidy home, but someone determined to rebuild her life. Working alongside volunteers and community partners, four intensive home rehabilitation sessions transformed the flat through decluttering, deep cleaning, repairs, caulking and fresh paint. Working together with social service agencies to manage her finances, she was able to get back up on her feet, with dignity, health and a brighter future which everyone deserves.
